Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that the city's animal shelter system, Animal Care and Control of NYC, will receive $8 million to build a new adoption center in Manhattan, upgrade the Brooklyn animal shelter and double the fleet of mobile adoption vans. That's great news for New York City's animals!
Then, the Mayor's office announced the historic appointment of a special advisor for all animal protection issues. This is the first time in history that any NYC Mayor has done this.
Because of your campaigning, we're on the road to improve life for animals in New York City. This is just the first step but let's thank Mayor de Blasio for taking these step to help animals in New York City.
