NYCLASS ANNOUNCES ENDORSEMENTS IN UPCOMING 2018 RACES

CITYWIDE ANIMAL RIGHTS GROUP SUPPORTS CANDIDATES WHO HAVE SUPPORTED ANIMAL ISSUES, INCLUDING HELPING CARRIAGE HORSES

New York, NY – Animal rights group NYCLASS (New Yorkers for Clean, Livable and Safe Streets) today released a list of endorsements for Attorney General, Congress, State Senate, and Assembly in New York State. Over the final two weeks, NYCLASS will be encouraging its more than 100,000 supporters to volunteer for at least one of these candidates. The organization has a robust list of supporters and will also promote the endorsements and use social media to highlight the support for each candidate. On Election Day, NYCLASS volunteers will be encouraged to work at polling sites to help these candidates, all of whom have a proven track record on animal issues.

“NYCLASS supports candidates who champion animal rights legislation that protects all animals - from pets to wildlife - and who will fight for meaningful changes to the horse carriage industry,” said Edita Birnkrant, Executive Director of NYCLASS. “Our allies believe, like we do, that these reforms are both necessary and achievable. Each of these candidates has a proven track record on animal issues and we are proud to support them.”
