Join The Animals Battalion in speaking up for rabbits!
Brooklyn rabbit hoarder Dorota Trec had 179 rabbits seized by NYPD from her property in 2015 whom she left outside during the horrendous blizzard, most of them riddled with diseases & injuries such as syphilis, conjunctivitis, torn ears, bite wounds & genital trauma. She was charged with 144 counts of torturing & injuring rabbits, & her trial began WED MAY 4th!
Advocates are needed to attend the trial with us as we make it clear by our presence that the defendant needs to be convicted, maximally sentenced, & banned from owning animals.
This is an extremely serious cruelty crime & it is imperative that the DA, judge & media see a large group of animal advocates at the trial to show that we are watching the results of this case.
Court begins at 930 am & all attendees must go through security. it is unknown when this case will be called; It could be at 9:30. If you arrive later, just look up where Dorota Trec's trial is on the defendant chart. (should be "Trial Part 1") WEAR A SHADE OF BLUE OR RABBIT IMAGERY- pin, button. Bring photo ID to enter courthouse. No posters are allowed. In the court room, we'll be sitting quietly and respectfully but very obviously in support of justice for the rabbits. Outside at some point we will likely have the chance to talk to media.
