NYCLASS Applauds Proposal for Pet Adoption Tax Credit

NYCLASS commends Council Member Ferreras for her introduction of the resolution in support of a $100 tax credit for New Yorkers who adopt a pet from a shelter.

Animal shelters all over New York state are overburdened by adoptable animals who deserve loving homes.  This resolution encourages families to adopt an animal from a shelter instead of purchasing one from a store, opening homes for thousands of wonderful pets.

The animal protection community thanks Council Member Ferreras and her staff for their tireless work for the animals of NYC.
