Council Members Helen Rosenthal and Corey Johnson have introduced a resolution (Reso 551) which proclaims that every Monday will become official "Meatless Mondays" in NYC! Meatless Mondays is a world-wide campaign to encourage folks to go vegetarian or vegan at least one day per week. This is the first time that the City Council has embraced Meatless Monday, which is a fantastic way to help New Yorkers work towards more compassionate, conscientious eating.
