Before the new year, Lea Michele made a final plea to Mayor Bloomberg to ban carriage horses in New York City. The New Yorker even said that if carriage horses aren't banned, she might not be able to be in the city.
The actress started out with a direct appeal to the mayor. She wrote: "Please tweet to @MikeBloomberg if you agree that horse and carriages should no longer be on the busy streets of NYC. And let's end this." And then, "@MikeBloomberg please listen to the thousands of people who are saying that they no longer want horse & carriage rides in this city."
Michele is so distraught over the recent incidents involving injured horses that she'd be tempted to keep her Broadway voice far away from Times Square.
She wrote, "New York, u know how much I love you. But if I see another horse & carriage struggling in this winter weather I may not be able 2 be here."
Have you asked Bloomberg to ban horse carriage yet? Maybe that's something that can finally happen in 2012.
