Firefighters and police are responding to an accident involving a vehicle and a carriage horse at Columbus Circle near Central Park, authorities say.
There were no reported injuries near the scene at West 59th Street and 7th Avenue.
A witness said she saw the horse galloping through the circle.
"Apparently it struck a car here, and then it separated [from the carriage]," said the woman, who did not give her name. "The horse continued up Broadway, just galloping."
The woman said the carriage toppled back with two people in it. A man was taken away in a stretcher, but he did not appear to be seriously hurt.
Other witnesses said they did not see the carriage horse operator.
