Q: What will happen to the carriage horses when the carriage industry is banned?
A: NYCLASS, in partnership with numerous animal protection organizations such as ASPCA, Humane Society of the United States and Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries will be offering adoption homes and lifetime care to all of the horses.  

 

Q: What should I do if I witness a carriage horse accident or see a carriage driver violation?
A: First, please report the incident immediately to the NYPD by dialing 311. If possible, please report the license plate on the back of the carriage, the location and time of the incident and any other details such as the color of the horse. Second, let us (NYCLASS) know as well by calling (212) 626-6991 or emailing [email protected].

  

Q: Will the current carriage drivers lose their jobs?
A: No. Drivers will have jobs driving the electric "Horseless eCarriage", rather than a horse drawn carriage.
