When New York State passed a law saying that dogs could join their pet guardians in the outdoor portions of restaurants, animal lovers rejoiced! The Department of Health tried to interfere with the law with onerous requirements that would make it almost impossible for restaurants to allow dogs to join diners.

Thanks to Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal's dogged hard work and leadership, the DOH has dropped their overly complicated rules in favor of simple signage that will make it easy for restaurants to participate. Pet guardians are delighted!
