NYCLASS has newly-drafted legislation that is quickly gaining support from City Council members! However, there are a few who are neutral on the issue, and need to hear from YOU to know that supporting meaningful change for the Carriage Horses is important to New Yorkers.
We will come together to enjoy lunch from Terri (provided by NYCLASS) as we call these Council Members plus call our supporters in their districts to encourage even more action!
Come anytime noon-2pm on Wednesday May 2nd to make as many calls as you're available for :-)

See you there!
*This new legislation includes closing the slaughter loophole, lowering the retirement age for the horses (in line with the NYPD mounted unit); no more rides in Times Sq, Rockefeller Center, and Lincoln Sq; larger stall sizes to meet commonly-accepted standards; and many other items that amount to the most significant change to benefit the well-being of the horses in the history of the industry.
