Bloody Protest At Stable After Horse Crash Demanding BAN!

NYCLASS and New Yorkers poured fake blood and held crime scene tape in front of the carriage horse stable responsible for horse abuse.

NYCLASS held a huge, dramatic protest with outraged New Yorkers yesterday - we poured fake blood and plastered crime scene tape at the door of the carriage horse stable responsible for so much horse abuse and bloodshed - and we demanded the NYC Council and Mayor Bill de Blasio fast-track legislation to BAN horse carriages!

Chief, the carriage horse who spooked in Midtown traffic and violently crashed into a car last Thursday, suffered multiple lacerations and gashes and is still being kept at the stable, without receiving proper veterinary examinations. We have offered to transfer Chief to a sanctuary where he will receive excellent veterinary care and lifelong love and freedom.

amNewYork newspaper published this article about our bold protest and call to action for our elected officials to take immediate action. Read it HERE.

Our protest received a lot of media coverage, but the only way we will end this horrific horse abuse is with YOUR HELP.

TAKE ACTION: We need you to call or email the NYC Council and tell them that you are outraged that another horse has crashed in traffic and nothing has been done. Urge them to fast-track legislation to transition horses off the streets permanently! Find NYC Council contact info HERE.

Please also RETWEET this NYCLASS tweet of yesterday's protest and tag your City Council Member if you can!

Please consider sending in any donation amount to help fuel our fight to end the abuse of hundreds of carriage horses and enact a BAN! We can't do it without YOU!
