Last week a 15 year old tourist riding her bike in Central Park was run over by a horse carriage. She was visiting NYC for her birthday. This is just another in a long list of incidents caused by horse carriages in New York City. Luckily, she only had minor injuries, but it could have been much worse. It's dangerous for both horses and people.
Mayor de Blasio campaigned on the promise that he would ban horse carriages from New York City. Now he's passed the buck and blamed the City Council for failure to pass a law. Let's share this incident to remind the Mayor of his promise to keep both the horses and humans New York safe by banning horse carriages.
