Oreo's Day: Protest the Carriage Industry

Two years ago this week, Oreo the carriage horse spooked near Columbus Circle and took off running — dumping his driver and two passengers — before being caught and tranquilized on the street in front of dozens of horrified people. Thankfully, Oreo is now retired and living on a farm — exactly where he belongs. This incident serves as a reminder of how dangerous this industry is and why we have to get the City Council to enact a ban NOW. Protest with us Thursday to remember Oreo’s accident and demand an end to this abusive industry! RSVP BELOW.
