What: Rally to launch the Anybody But Quinn Campaign’s Get Out the Vote efforts for the September 10 Democratic Primary Election.

Who: The Anybody But Quinn Campaign coalition and volunteers. Speakers include: Wendy Neu, CEO of Hugo Neu Corporation; Allie Feldman, Executive Director of NYCLASS; Pauline Park, LGBT Activist; among others.

When: Wednesday, August 28, 2013, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Where: Corner of 7th Avenue and Greenwich Avenue, outside of the former St. Vincent’s Hospital site.

Why: The Anybody But Quinn Campaign (ABQ) was launched on April 8, 2013 by New York City is Not For Sale (NYCN4S) in the effort to ensure Christine Quinn’s defeat in the Democratic Primary election on September 10, 2013. With the election just two weeks away, the campaign is launching its final-push to elect any of the democratic mayoral candidates other than Christine Quinn. Volunteers dressed in our now iconic red ABQ tees will gather on the corner of the St. Vincent’s hospital site as a reminder of Quinn’s failure to keep the hospital open – along with eight others throughout her tenure as Speaker of the City Council. Volunteers will bequeath personalized gifts for Christine to prepare her for her defeat and subsequent retirement from government office.
