Join NYCLASS, Assembly Member Linda Rosenthal and animal advocates at 9:30am February 11th at the New York State Capitol Building at State Street and Washington Avenue in Albany for an exciting press conference in support of the bill to BAN violent, cruel rodeo acts in New York State:
Bill # A.08554.
After the press conference you can join us in meetings with several members of the Agriculture Committee, where the rodeo bill is currently pending. We need to convince the Agriculture Committee members to vote YES on this bill in order for it to move forward. If you are a resident of New York State your presence and voice will be very powerful on this day to help PASS this bill as we meet directly with the lawmakers who will vote on the bill. This is Democracy in action and this is how we pass animal rights laws!

Unless you live local to Albany attending will most likely require an overnight stay the night before at an Albany hotel near the Capitol.

**The press conference will be held at 9:30 am on the 3rd floor of the NYS Capitol building at the Assembly Staircase, outside the Assembly chamber (near room 304.) The easiest way to get there will be to enter from the Capitol building on State Street (directly across from 198 State St) and when you enter the elevator will be on the right. There is metered parking on State Street for anyone who will be driving. You can also park in some of the lots/garages on Madison Ave and enter through the Empire State Plaza Concourse. You’ll just walk the entire length of the concourse and security to enter the Capitol will be at the end.
