A taxi smashed into horse-drawn carriage on Central Park South late last night, injuring six people including a 60-year-old man who was critically hurt, officials said.
"The cab hit the back of the carriage, knocking the carriage on top of the horse," said one horrified onlooker.
"I saw someone on the ground, he was bleeding pretty badly. The horse carriage driver was injured pretty badly as well. He had a nasty gash to his head.
"The horse was trying to get up but it was okay."
The 60-year-old was rushed to New York Hospital. Three others were taken to Roosevelt Hospital with minor injuries.
