METLIFE TOUTS CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY, BUT TURNS BLIND EYE TO MEDICALLY-TESTED CHIMPS

NEW YORK – NYCLASS and animal rights advocates will meet TODAY, TUESDAY, MAY 17 AT 5PM to protest MetLife’s silence regarding New York Blood Center’s decision to abandon chimps after conducting a series of medical tests on the animals. MetLife is the New York Blood Center's largest corporate donor, yet the company, which prides itself on "corporate social responsibility," refuses to hold NYBC accountable for abandoning 66 chimps with no food and water.
