On Thursday, May 19th, the Humane Society of the United States will be joined by NY State Senator Tony Avella and NY State Assembly Member Linda Rosenthal, a representative from the Jane Goodall Institute, Care2, TheirTurn and other guests, for a joint press conference event on the steps of City Hall to keep the pressure on New York Blood Center and demand that NYBC keep its promise to provide lifetime care for the more than 60 chimpanzees it used for decades in invasive experiments and then abandoned to die.
